Winter is coming…
Greetings from The Wall, even though it is not snowed… yet. Winter is coming, and so are deadlines for the project and launch date. Which up to now it’s been a ride of highs and lows. Welcome to a new update of this adventure!
The project starts to take shape, with all the experiment mounted and some of the tests successfully passed. That doesn’t mean it was an easy task, mainly when the magic smoke of your electronics decides to take a vacation and they don’t work anymore… the day before the tests.
Luckily, a silent warrior watching out our team procured a new RPi to continue programming the experiment, but not before saying a little concerning words: “If you managed to burn one of these, you are true noobs”. I guess we will need to rethink life a bit…
On the mechanical part, the experiment needed a new atmosphere and a little bit of chill. And we gave it to it at Esrange. Experiment survived the vacuum test with no problems… but got a little bit chill on the freezer, with some issues on the heaters. But the problem is solved now, I guess the only thing now to include is the Netflix.
On the optics side, let’s just say that François handed in his thesis and got questions about how many French fries does he need to sell to be able to pay for them.
Finally, here we have the almighty Guillermo the White with his new acquired powers, as the booms arrived and got tested. I hope he doesn’t overhype them and lets us through.
